Class Levels

Trying to figure out what class is best for your skill level?
Over here at Yarn it & Haberdashery we have it broken down for you:

Beginner: Just starting out and learning the basics, meaning you might know squat or it's been years since you picked up that needle, hook or touched that drop spindle. Remember practice makes perfect and you don't get better until you practice!

Advanced Beginner: You can cast on, Knit, Purl and Bind off or Chain, single and double crochet. For spinners you are ready to learn basic Plying. You've got the basics down and now you are looking for a little challenge and to pick up a new skill like increases, decreases, shaping, etc.

Intermediate: In addition to advanced beginner skills you feel comfortable with increasing, decreasing and simple lace work. If you crochet you are comfortable with all of that plus using the Treble Crochet. At this point you are comfortable with basic construction and are looking to push forward into larger pieces or working on something that requires gauge swatches and a little fiddling with your sizing or more complicated lace charts and patterns.

Seasoned: You've got all the previous skills plus you are comfortable in charts, cables, lace and basic finishing. You are looking for a challenge.

Classes are a great way to hone your skills, and socialize by keep up to date on our website and Facebook as we promote new classes and events.

We have the class schedule sectioned by each Quarter. We feel that it allows you to plan out your calendar better and for us to be prepared with pre-registration and pre-orders to fit your needs. Just because a class isn't on the calendar now doesn't mean we can't squeeze it in when requested or get information on the teacher to set up a private lesson to fit your schedule.

Check the Sit and knit section at the bottom for the UFO Club information and we will be posting it to Ravelry and Facebook also.
